Burak Yilmaz’s double helped Lille take the shot back from PSG by beating Memphis Depay's Lyon by 3-2 on Sunday. Yilmaz scored the late winner for the team while Jonathan David also found the back of the net in the win. While Monaco had shifted in the second spot after their win and was one point behind PSG while Lyon stays fourth on the table after starting out as the league leader despite the loss.
Lille’s title chase suffered a little but they have not lost any of their five matches with rivals. Lille later fought its way from 2 down after Islam Slimani first shot a goal in the 20th minute and later Slimani forced Jose Fonte to push a goal past his own teammate Mike Maignan, crushing his hope to maintain his 19th clean sheet. Later David struck on either side of Yilmaz’s goal to give Lille its lead back.
