Liverpool Defeat Tottenham Hotspur

Following two straight Premier League losses, Mohamed Salah scored twice as Liverpool defeated Tottenham 2-1 on Sunday to continue their power over the London club. The possibility of Jurgen Klopp's team to even contending for a spot in the Champions League for next season was beginning to come into question as they entered the game 10 points behind fourth-placed Spurs.

As the half went on, the visitors' zeal began to wane, but just before halftime, Salah took advantage of a terrible blunder by Eric Dier, who headed the ball directly into the path of the Egypt striker, to put his team up 2-0. In front of the Liverpool supporters, Klopp gave his signature air punches to celebrate his team's first league away victory since May. The German boss, whose squad has been highly erratic this season, said, "I got a little carried away but it is big, totally big.
