Liverpool defeated by Fulham

Liverpool was defeated by Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday with 0-1. This was Liverpool’s 6th successive defeat at home. It has failed to score at home since the 4-1 defeat last month by Manchester City. After the match, Liverpool stands at 8th position in the English Premier League and Fulham is at 18th position in the same.

Fulham got the lead at the beginning of half time when Andy Robertson couldn’t clear the corner. After the break, post 2 minutes, Liverpool was close to the equalizer but it was saved by the goalkeeper of Fulham, Alphonse Areola and he stopped Diogo Jota’s kick to the ball before it could go any further. Liverpool tried hard for a late goal but Fulham managed to win and remained in the league. Fulham’s boss Scott Parker said post the match that he was very happy and proud of the team and that the team got what it deserved.
