Liverpool held RB Leipzig 2-0 in the second leg of the fixture to ultimately be 4-0 on aggregate and advance ahead in the competition. Mo Salah and Sadio Mané put Liverpool ahead as the side pulled off the same score as the first leg and the other side remained scoreless. Leipzig was desperate to score in the second half but was unlucky when Alexander Sorloth’s header found the bar instead of the back of the net.
Salah later scored past Peter Gulacsi and Divock Origi set up Mane to score from a close range. Liverpool is back in action after a disappointing run in English Premier League continues. Their hopes to even secure a spot for next season’s Champions League are in the wind.
