Liverpool in the final stages of discussion with Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was expecting an extension contract instead they could be losing the player to Liverpool. The Reds have been chasing the player ever since Thiago’s need for a new challenge started circulating.

With their Budget cut short due to coronavirus, Jurgen Klopp would first need to raise the money required to sign on Thiago. The potential sale of Georginio Wijnaldum is underway with Barcelona as he currently has only a year left at Anfield. But Ronald Koeman has also expressed his interest in The Spaniard as well. Thiago had left Barcelona in 2013 and has contributed immensely in acquiring the seven league titles with Bayern Munich. Though talk of any transfer has been denied by Thiago as of now.
