Liverpool is gearing up for a Premier League showdown with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the coming week. Reds manager Jurgen Klopp would be testing out Trent Alexander-Arnold whose fitness has been in question lately. The Liverpool defender suffered a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s clash before the break which forced him to withdraw from the friendlies match as well of England and had to fly out to Dubai to kickstart his recovery at Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.
While the player has hit the club’s training ground but it seems like he will miss the Watford clash at Anfield as well as the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final match at Lisbon and take on Benfica on Tuesday. But Reds are still hopeful to have the player available for the City clash as they stand a chance to leapfrog the leaders after closing the gap to just one point.
