Liverpool Slip Behind Arsenal as Slot Seeks Fix for Alexander-Arnold Void

When the international break ends, Liverpool will be looking to defeat their bitter rivals, Manchester United, in order to recover. In the last week, Arne Slot's team's incredible Premier League start has come to an end. The defending champions led second-place Arsenal by five points after five straight victories. But on Saturday, Chelsea defeated the Reds at Stamford Bridge thanks to a goal in the 96th minute. A week prior, Crystal Palace had won in the 97th minute.

Liverpool’s recent struggles have been linked to the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Gary Lineker and Jamie Redknapp. Since his move to Real Madrid, boss Arne Slot has alternated between Conor Bradley, £29.5m signing Jeremie Frimpong, and even midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai at right-back in search of a stable replacement.
