Liverpool thrashed Leicester 3-0

After seeing so many different clubs at the top Liverpool is back on top by being level on points with Tottenham but behind on the basis of goal difference. The defending champions’ unbeaten record at Anfield now displays a proud 64 matches. Reds ended the game with a 3-0 thrashing of Leicester City even without key players on their team like Mohamed Salah, Jordan Henderson, Joe Gomez, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Leicester’s luck ran out at Anfield when Jonny Evans's own goal made matters worse for them in the 21st minute. By the time half-time arrived Diogo Jota had increased their lead to 2-0 by scoring in the 41st minute. Roberto Firmino also got in a header at the 86th minute to help matters for the injury-laden Reds. Leicester lost their first away match of the season to stay at fourth place on the table. The only bad news Liverpool suffered was Naby Keita’s injury in the second half.
