Liverpool’s injury woes turn worst with over eight players sidelined already

All the enthusiasm of the new season has been mellowed out at Liverpool camp as eight of the players have been placed in the doubtful list after a series of injuries threaten to derail the start of the campaign for the Reds. Liverpool is all set to take on Fulham in the Premier League opener but would be doing that without key players. Curtis Jones along with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would not be part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad on the opening day.

Jones suffered a calf injury that has placed him out of contention for four straight weeks, while the extent of his injury still remains unknown, he could be out for a longer time. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would be missing two or three months of action as he picked up a hamstring injury during the pre-season tour. Diogo Jota’s thigh issue has ruled him out while Caoimhin Kelleher, first-choice Alisson, Naby Keita, Kostas Tsimikas, and Ibrahima Konate might all miss the upcoming few matches.
