Liverpool’s pursuit of Man City stays on target 

Liverpool edged out Aston Villa with ease in the recent Premier League match to level on points with Man City at the top of the table. City still commands the first place with a better goal difference. It was Sadio Mane who was the ultimate hero for the Reds netting the winning goal for Liverpool against Aston Villa in the 2-1 win on Tuesday. Jurgen Klopp’s side fought their way back to win the three points after being one goal down.

Liverpool thought they had another Tottenham-like blunder on their hand when Douglas Luiz put the side ahead in three minutes. But Joel Matip immediately evened out and Sadio Mane's fine header saved the Reds and kept them alive in the title fight.
