Loftus-Cheek, a problem for Chelsea

The European champions completed their squad at the last minute with the signing of Saul from Atletico Madrid. Another midfielder for Tuchel, who could not complete the sale of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Chelsea academy player will have to stay at a club he has not played regularly for since his promising campaign in 2018-19.

Loftus-Cheek played for Fulham last season, where he played 32 matches and made 22 starts. At the age of 25, West Ham tried to get him until the last minute, but there was no agreement.

It now means it's a complicated period for the midfielder, who will struggle to get into the team given the large amount of midfielders Chelsea have.
