Lorient crushed Saint-Etienne 6-2 in Ligue 1

Lorient gave two early goals before going past Saint-Etienne 6-2 in Ligue 1 to move four points clear of the relegation zone on Friday. Forward Terem Moffi and striker Ibrahima Kone both scored twice for the winning team. While on the other hand, Saint-Etienne striker Denis Bouanga opened the scoring in the fourth minute.

In the 22nd minute, Arnaud Nordin doubled the lead for his side. However, Lorient managed to take a 3-2 lead in the 61st minute over Saint-Etienne. In the 65th minute, the score was 4-2 when Kone received a pass from Moffi. Ever since he joined from Norwegian club Sarpsborg during the winter transfer window, Kone has already secured five goals. Saint-Etienne is still in the relegation zone, one point from safety. Saint-Etienne midfielder Mahdi Camara was dropped from the team and has been suspended for five days on charges of physically assaulting a teammate.
