Lucas Digne close to a move to Aston Villa

Aston Villa and Everton are close to a £25million agreement as Steven Gerrard chases his second January transfer of the season. Earlier Aston Villa added Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona to participate in England’s top-flight competition and now Lucas Digne might join him soon at the Villa Park as well.

French left-back is cutting the cord with Goodison Park after falling out with Rafa Benitez and would have to undergo a medical test before the move can officially be confirmed. Villa did face tough competition from Chelsea, Newcastle, and West Ham in the race for his signature but the player finally arrived on a decision to complete a move to Aston Villa soon. Digne has made 125 appearances for Everton and would join his former Barcelona teammate soon.
