Luis Suarez claims his friendship with Messi was the reason for his departure

Barca released its list of players it wanted to target for this season and Luis Suarez was left out of it, indirectly indicating it wanted to force Suarez out citing the reason as a means to reduce its cost due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently Suarez shared he believes the reason to be his close friendship with Messi. The 33-year-old Uruguayan striker joined Atletico Madrid with a deal worth £5.5million after he put in 6 years of blood and sweat at Nou Camp. The sudden departure left the player quite emotional and after Messi’s attempt to leave the club as well. The forced departure was also acknowledged by Messi as well.
