Luka Modric backs Rodrygo even after the penalty-miss

Brazil's elimination at the hands of Croatia in the quarter-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup was one of the surprising occurrences of the world sporting event. After losing in penalties to the Luka Modric-led team, Brazil was eliminated. Despite the fact that the game ended 1-1 after extra time, Dominik Livakovic's heroic feat seemed to delight all Madrid fans. 

While the post-match dramatics involved Luka Modric's cheery remarks for Rodrygo, it was his helpful assistance to the Brazilian forward Rodrygo that seemed to be loved and appreciated most by the Real Madrid fandom. His first sub was not successful, but Rodrigo was quickly consoled by Luka Modric after the result. After the match, Rodrigo was very upset and Modric offered consolation. He said that the incident would only make him stronger.
