Mainz 2-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

The Frankfurt players headed into the final Bundesliga game of the season against rivals Mainz on Saturday at noon. Oliver Glasner had mentioned this week that he would use the league meeting with their rivals at the MEWA Arena as a dress rehearsal for the Europa League against Rangers in Seville on Wednesday.  Frankfurt was at the 12th spot in the table and they had nothing but pride to play. 

Martin Hinteregger, the vice-captain, is out injured for the rest of the season, and Jesper Lindstrom, the Danish winger who is fighting to be fit for the upcoming game next week was missing from the clan. As the game proceeded, Moussa Niakhate and his teammates quickly took complete control of the proceedings. Glasner made a triple substitution on the hour mark.
