Man City defeats Brugge in Champions League

Raheem Sterling scored to end his goal drought in the Manchester City’s 4-1 win over Club Brugge as the last season runner-ups chase a knockout spot early this season. Pep Guardiola’s side found an early lead with Phil Foden’s goal at the Etihad Stadium but the lead was soon squandered with John Stones’ own goal that pulled the visitor's level at the 17th minute.

City kept searching for the winner and found one in the second half with three goals by Riyad Mahrez, Sterling, and Gabriel Jesus to propel the team into the top spot of the Group with a one-point lead over PSG. City can make their way into the knockout stage comfortably and need just one point from the next two matches to make relieve the last season’s success in the tournament.
