Man City's Brazilian duo 'expected to miss' Community Shield

Gabriel Jesus and Ederson are expected to miss Manchester City's first game of the season in the Community Shield according to the latest reports.

Jesus and Ederson both featured regularly for Brazil in their march to the Copa America final which ultimately ended in bitter disappointment as Brazil were defeated by arch-rivals Argentina.

With the game taking place a day before Euro 2020 final, it is understood the Brazilian duo have been given extra time to recover from the gruelling season in the hope that they come back fresh and ready for the 2021/22 campaign.

According to CityXtra the Brazilian duo will join the first-team squad on August 8, a week before the club's Premier League campaign gets underway against Tottenham on August 15th.
