Man United beaten by Brighton

Manchester United were beaten 2-1 by Brighton in Erik ten Hag's most memorable game in control on Sunday. Seagulls stayed excessively smooth for United as the different fortunes of the Manchester clubs in late seasons went on as United experienced one more sad day in Ten Hag's most memorable game in control. Cristiano Ronaldo was on the bench because of his absence in pre-season prep.

Brighton had whipped United 4-0 last season as well when the sides met in May and notwithstanding losing Yves Bissouma and Marc Cucurella for over £100 million since the Seagulls were again excessively smooth for United's poor defence. Pascal Gross scored in an unguarded net before half-time two times. And Ten Hag's men needed Brighton to slip up before they could find the net as Robert Sanchez pushed the ball into his own net off the unfortunate Alexis Mac Allister but could not find the equaliser.
