Man Utd came back after a 16 day break to draw against Newcastle

The Covid 19 turmoil is taking its toll on the players and the team evidently. United’s skipper Harry Maguire also stated that the 16-day break did no good for Red Devils as they relied on a 71st-minute equalizer from half-time by substitute Edinson Cavani to salvage a point at St James' Park on Monday against Newcastle. Goalkeeper David De Gea pulled off multiple saves to help the team stay in contention but the fact that the team did not have enough healthy players and no training ground to train on, the team had a tough time facing Magpies.

The other side was also playing with a depleted squad but it was their fourth game in 16 days and they came close to their second win of the campaign and took advantage of United’s sloppy passes to secure a lead early with Allan Saint-Maximin's superb seventh-minute opener. With the draw, Red Devils are seven points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal.
