Manchester United has been on a hunt for a new centre-back and Leicester defender Wesley Fofana has been linked with the club recently. Leicester grabbed Fofana for a £36.5m deal from Saint-Etienne last summer itself and the 20-year-old’s time in the Premier League has been impressive. He has started every match for Leicester City since October and United is considering him for a permanent partner for Harry Maguire.
United has few ideal candidates on the line with Jules Kounde and Pau Torres also on the shortlist as well. But currently the problem United faces with Fofana is he has a lengthy contract with City till 2025 and the club might ask for a higher price for the player which could be along the lines with Maguire’s price in 2019.
