Manchester City and the Norwegian's agent Mino Raiola have set up a meeting to discuss the integrity of the contract with the January transfer window close by. City is facing tough competition from within the league well as internationally for the youngster's signature. Dortmund is said to have the player till June 2024 but City would be willing to meet his release clause fee in the next transfer season as they are desperate to have the player this season.
Another Premier League team Chelsea has also announced their interest in the player even after having bought Romelu Lukaku in a record fee. But Man City would be heartbroken to know that they are not the only club the 21-year-old has recently spoken to, Barcelona and Real Madrid would be the real competition they would have to beat in the bid to get the players’ signature.
