Manchester City took advantage of United and Liverpool draw to close in on the gap and grab second place on the table with five back-to-back wins in the Premier League and their unbeaten run stretches to 15 across all competitions. City took advantage over Crystal Palace in the 26th minute itself when Kevin De Bruyne's cross found John Stones who scored his first Premier League goal for the Sky Blues.
Stones scored once more in the 68th minute after Ilkay Gundogan had doubled their lead in the 56th minute and Raheem Sterling also got a chance in the 88th minute to make Guardiola proud in the 88th minute with a free-kick. Guardiola later shared he was awestruck with Stones performance at the Etihad Stadium and the 4-0 rout that followed after.
