Manchester City still commands the top spot in English Premier League with a one-point lead over Liverpool who is waiting for an opportunity in the second spot after the 2-2 draw at Etihad Stadium. The England titans locked horns on Sunday and canceled out each other's pair of goals to end the blockbuster fight with their heads held high. City looked dominating at the start with Kevin De Bruyne’s strike that made it past Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson in the fifth minute but it was a short-lived lead for the defending champions as City conceded a goal later to Diogo Jota just eight minutes later.
The momentum of the match shifted once more in City’s favor as Gabriel Jesus handed City one more opportunity to pull ahead at the 36th minute. But a determined Liverpool leveled again with Sadio Mane’s second-half goal. Still, City has a real chance to take their second consecutive title home this season.
