Manchester United wouldn't mind paying more than £68million for Frenkie de Jong

It looks like Manchester United is still trying to rope in Frenkie de Jong in their squad. It seems like United is waiting to convince the player to join their side. Moreover, the Red Devils are very close to agreeing to the fee of 80 million euros (£68million) to sign the midfielder. However, Barcelona has informed the player that he needs to get back to his previous deal and take a 50-percent pay cut to remain at the Nou Camp.

Now, if the 25-year-old player doesn't agree to this, the La Liga side will ensure they offload the player to Chelsea or Manchester United during the summer transfer window. Both the clubs that are in a race to hire the services of the player would be willing to pay huge wages so that he doesn't lose any money.
