Manchester United held back to a goalless draw by Leeds

Manchester United stays firm on second place in the Premier League despite the goalless draw against Leeds United on Sunday. The last time the teams met Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men had thrashed Leeds with a 6-2 score at Old Trafford in December. This time both the rivals lacked energy and put on a lackluster show which ended in 0-0 at Elland Road.

United had 67 points off their 33 games and are still 10 points behind Manchester City while enjoying an 8 points lead third-placed Leicester. United was without Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani who would be joining the team in the Europa League semi-final first leg against Roma. Marcus Rashford first had an early chance but missed out on a chance to provide a lead as it was saved by Illan Meslier. Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood’s shot also saw such similar results.
