Manchester United need to target free defensive midfielders next summer

In the past Red Devils have been linked to multiple defensive midfielders but their struggle still continues, next season though Manchester United could target three midfielders for free. While United’s main target West Ham’s Declan Rice has been priced at £90 million which could be taxing for the team in the post covid era when cash is tight, even the less-priced option of Erling Haaland for £73 million could really put a hole in their wallet.

Thus Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could target free transfer players as well like Franck Kessie of AC Milan, Marcelo Brozovic of FC Internazionale and Denis Zakaria of Borussia Moenchengladbach. Any of these players could definitely elevate the midfield play for the team that wants to win the Premier League title that has eluded them for so long.
