Manchester United vs Everton winds up with a draw 1-1

Manchester United was held to a 1-1 draw by Everton at Old Trafford on another difficult afternoon in the Premier League. United took the lead through Anthony Martial on 42 minutes, but Andros Townsend equalized just after the hour mark. Both sides had to settle for a point when Yerry Mina's late effort was ruled out for offside. The setback adds to the strain on United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has only one point in his last six games and hasn't kept a clean sheet in his last nine league games, their worst defensive run in 50 years.

Solskjaer surprised many by moving Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba to the bench before of the game, with Martial starting despite a meager return of two goals in his previous 24 outings for the club. Everton, however, was without Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison due to injury, while Alex Iwobi failed a late fitness test for Rafael Benitez's side.
