Marchisio turns down Glasgow Rangers

The veteran Italy international is a free agent after his spell with Zenit St Petersburg, but said he won’t play for another Italian club out of respect for his former team Juventus.

Sport Mediaset report he is in advanced talks with Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport insist Marchisio has already evaluated and rejected a move to Glasgow Rangers.

The 33-year-old had knee surgery in April.
