Marseille draws up with 10-man Metz

A goalless draw and Marseille dropped vital points as they drew up against 10-man Metz. Marseille enjoyed an advantage over Metz for more than 40 minutes but still could not convert it into a goal. Brazilian midfielder Gerson did manage to score for Marseille with a close-range effort but it was ruled out later.

In other matches, Saint-Etienne coach Claude Puel took a sigh of relief as his side rallied from 2-0 down to net two injury-time goals and force a win with 3-2 against promoted Clermont. This was Saint-Etienne's first victory in 13 matches. The three points lifted the team from the bottom of the table and push down Metz there instead. Other than that Reims 0, Monaco 0; Lorient 1, Brest 2; and Nantes 2, Strasbourg 2.
