Carles Tusquets, Interim Barcelona president, pronounced that he would have sold Lionel Messi, Argentine star in the summer transfer window. Before backing down, Messi made a try to leave Barcelona this summer. He might talk to other clubs in January. And, leave for free when his contract terminates in June with Manchester City. Though, Manchester City is expected to make another attempt to convince the 33-year-old away from Camp Nou.
Tusquets told Catalan radio Rac1 that as per an economic point of view, he would have sold Messi this summer transfer window. That would have been more suitable economically.
Upon asking Tasquets what a potential transfer would have offered, he said that La Liga imposes salary caps. And that would have helped them as well.
