Milan defeats Atalanta and cuts Napoli’s lead at the top

AC Milan fought back against Atalanta to earn a 3-2 win in Serie A fixture. Maintaining their impressive start this season AC Milan first went ahead with captain Davide Calabria’s volley in just 28 seconds of the match. Hosts built pressure in search of an equalizer and waisted many attempts in the hunt, Sandro Tonali then took advantage of their frustrations to double Milan’s lead.

The Rossoneri were not done for the day as the third goal came from Rafael Leao with 12 minutes left. Atalanta then announced a comeback with Duvan Zapata’s late penalty and Mario Pasalic scared Milan with a second goal for Atalanta in stoppage time. Milan has closed in on Napoli to just two points lead with their sixth win from seven matches.
