Modeste grabs the winner for Cologne in 1-0 win v Frankfurt

Anthony Modeste got back into the match to shoot Cologne to a 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt and put them 6th in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Cologne had certainly missed him while he was sidelined. Modeste drove the group to a 1-0 win over Freiburg on Feb. 5 however sickness kept him out of the following game as Cologne lost 3-1 at Leipzig last weekend.

The French striker joined the side in the 61st minute against Frankfurt and scored the winner in the 84th minute as he took advantage of the defense’s slip up and headed in to shoot between goalkeeper Kevin Trapp's legs making it his fifteenth goal of the period. Rafael Santos Borré could have leveled with the last kick of the game, yet the Colombian's shot was excessively powerless and Cologne goalkeeper Timo Horn effortlessly defended the goal.
