Monaco puts two past Strasbourg to win in Ligue 1

Krepin Diatta and Sofiane Diop featured on Monaco’s scoresheet as they prevailed upon Strasbourg 2-1 in the recent French league match. Diatta scored the opening goal in a powerful manner from the edge of the box in the 43rd minute and would have added another goal as well but Strasbourg goalkeeper Matz Sels got the better of him him and saved the goal.

Later the France Under-21 international was successful in converting a rebound and doubled Monaco’s lead within a few minutes of second half. Strasbourg answered a few minutes later as well and cut the lead in half when Habib Diallo scored from a cross from Thomas Delaine. Both the teams competed for European spots last season and achieved third and sixth place.
