Munich, City, Chelsea, Sevilla, Barca all among the last 16 for Champions League

Early matches resulted in Chelsea and Sevilla qualifying after defeating Rennes and Krasnodar. Erling Braut Haaland made history by being the fastest player to score 15 goals in the Champions League in Borussia Dortmund.  And Lazio defeated Zenit St Petersburg 3-1. Barca sailed through without Messi and Juventus qualified as well after a late victory over 2-1 Ferencvaros.

Recently Atletico Madrid was held in a goalless draw by Lokomotiv Moscow and reigning champions Bayern Munich made it to the knock-out round as well after a 3-1 win over Red Bull Salzburg.

Borussia Monchengladbach on the other hand made it to the top of Group B with a 4-0 defeat of Shakhtar Donetsk and City maintained their perfect record after a 1-0 win in Group C at Olympiakos. Porto climbed to the brink of qualifiers with a 2-0 win at Marseille who were dealt with their 13th defeat.
