Napoli Eye Brentford’s Michael Kayode as Right-Back Target

Napoli are in the market for a right-back, but according to SpazioNapoli, they’ve yet to make a formal move for Brentford’s Michael Kayode. The 21-year-old Italian, under contract until 2030, won’t come cheap. Despite a dip in form last season, Kayode has featured seven times this Premier League campaign, impressing with his long throws and work rate—qualities Antonio Conte reportedly admires. 

Napoli, who won their fourth Serie A title last season under Conte’s leadership, have strengthened with Kevin De Bruyne, Rasmus Højlund (loan), and Noah Lang. Determined to defend their crown, the champions sit atop the Serie A table with five wins from six, their only loss coming against Milan. Napoli will face Torino next on October 18 as they continue their strong start to the season.
