Napoli maintain their perfect start with 2-0 win over Cagliari

Napoli goes to the top of the table as they maintain their perfect start with six wins from six matches in Serie A. On Sunday they climbed back to the top spot with a 2-0 win over Cagliari. Luciano Spalletti's side saw goals from Victor Osimhen and a penalty from Lorenzo Insigne, who completed his 400th Napoli appearance with the match.

Cagliari was coached by former Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri but could not break down their hosts’ defense. Napoli enjoys a two points lead over AC Milan who has been confident this week as well with 10 goals without an answer in three league matches. In other matches, Roma was the weaker side in the Lazio fight, they perished with a 3-2 loss, Empoli won by 4-2 against Bologna, Sassuolo defeated Salernitana by 1-0 while Fiorentina would meet Napoli next after a boost of confidence with 1-0 win over Udinese.
