Newcastle United express interest in signing Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier in the January Transfer window. Trippier has been a key part of Diego Simeone’s roster since he landed on a new home in 2019. With the England international’s help, the club grabbed their first La Liga title last season beating Real Madrid and FC Barcelona to it with a dominating run throughout the season.
Trippier has been on the target list of Manchester United and Arsenal as well last summer thus Atletico would have to gear up for a battle to ink a deal with the 31-year-old. The player has been left out of the Gareth Southgate’s England squad after he picked up a shoulder injury during Atletico’s 3-3 draw at Valencia, Southgate picked Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker and Reece James as the right-backs for the world up qualifiers.
