Newcastle 'prepare huge Koulibaly offer'

Negotiations between the Saudi Public Investment Fund and Newcastle are at an advanced stage, which could arm the Magpies with huge spending power.

The Arab backers already have eyes in Italy, with Calciomercato.it claiming yesterday that they were looking to reunite Luciano Spalletti and Radja Nainggolan.

Now, Le10sport is reporting they have also targeted Koulibaly, aware that at least €80m will be needed to convince Napoli into a sale.

Newcastle face competition from Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, but the French portal writes they could be about to trump all three with a contract offer worth €12m a season.

This is not the first time the Premier League side have been linked with the 28-year-old, given they tried to sign him back in 2015.
