Newcastle thrashed yet again by Manchester City

Pep Guardiola is growing optimistic about their run for this year’s Premier League title climbing fifth on the table and closing in on the gap to Liverpool to just five points.  Man City overthrew Newcastle 2-0 on a rainy day in Etihad Stadium extending their winning streak to 10 games with goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Ferran Torres on either side of the half to help them maintain their lead while Newcastle rallied to yet one more defeat after putting on an unenthusiastic performance without Callum Wilson, their top scorer.

Whereas City grabbed their eighth clean sheet off 10 matches this season surprising everyone even when they were two-man down Kyle Walker, Gabriel Jesus. City has their work cut out for them going forward when they face Everton and Chelsea.
