Newcastle United target Allegri

According to The Sun, odds have been slashed on Allegri being named manager of the Magpies in 2020-21.

It would be part of a total revamp of the club, which is undergoing a takeover worth £350m. Allegri has often said he would like to work in the Premier League and has been learning English.

Despite winning five consecutive Serie A titles and reaching the Champions League Final twice, Allegri was essentially fired by Juventus last summer to make way for Maurizio Sarri.

He has been repeatedly linked with Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain benches. Newcastle United’s current manager is Steve Bruce.
