After a rough spell at Arsenal, Nicolas Pepe is looking at Newcastle United as the new destination where he can recuperate and comeback stronger. The £72m Arsenal player might not have taken off at Emirates Stadium. His time at Lille in France helped his reputation grow where he grabbed 22 goals and 11 assists during the 2018/19 campaign. Paying a huge amount to bring him to England in 2019, but later on his time at the London club has been a big disappointment for Gunners.
In the last season, he started just five matches in the Premier League. Newcastle is now looking at the winger with the aim to bring the player to St. James' Park. This season on a permanent deal, Newcastle has brought in Sven Botman, Nick Pope, and Matt Targett already. While Pope has rejected many rival teams, Newcastle could be his new home.
