Neymar: PSG forward 'cried at home for two days'

Brazil superstar Neymar admits he cried for two days after suffering the same injury that nearly ruled him out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Despite the initial fears of the world-record signing missing the remainder of the season allayed, Neymar concedes it was too much for him to relive the exact same injury.

The Brazil attacking talisman broke a metatarsal bone in his right foot against Strasbourg last month, which was described as 'a complicated' setback - with a return date to for April being estimated.

"This time I had a tough time getting over it," he told Brazilian TV channel Globo. "I spent two days at home crying. The first time I hurt myself I said, 'I'll have an operation, it has to be fixed as quickly as possible'".

Before his untimely injury, the 27-year-old scored 20 goals and registered 11 assists in 23 games across all competitions.
