Nice misses out as they lost to Clermont

In the French league, Nice was given a great opportunity to move second on the table but lost the fight to Clermont. Nice lost by 1-0 at home to the struggling team on Sunday. Elbasan Rashani scored the winner for the struggling Clermont in the 77th minute.

In another match of the league, Strasbourg beats Nantes 1-0 at home to climb into the fourth spot and grab the Europa League place. Veteran midfielder Dimitri Lienard scored the winner for the team in the 73rd minute. Rennes stays fifth on the table, after the 2-0 win at home against Brest, Gaetan Laborde and Martin Terrier scored the two goals for the team. Later Reims hammered Bordeaux 5-0, Troyes and Metz were goalless at 0-0 and Lorient beat Lens 2-0.
