Adrian Ursea’s side finally put an end to their embarrassing, out-of-form run at Roazhon Park when Amine Gouiri scored the winner for Nice as well as assisted in the second goal to seal their 2-1 win over Rennes in Ligue 1 game. For the 21-year-old, it was his 24th start to the league and he did not disappoint instead pulled his side into the limelight after being thrashed thrice back-to-back at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, and Metz.
Nice missed out on opening first at the 6th minute when Gouiri’s shot missed the net and Eagles later took advantage of a penalty earned by Hichem Boudaoui when he was tackled by Damien Da Silva in the box. The Algerian attacker later converted the penalty by pushing past Senegal goalkeeper Alfred Gomis. Martin Terrier later leveled the score to which Gouiri replied by finding Flavius Daniliuc who pushed the match-winning goal in.
