Niclas Füllkrug shot a debut goal as Germany beat Oman 1-0 in World Cup warm-up

Niclas Füllkrug scored his debut goal for Germany as the four-time World Cup champions secured an edging victory of 1-0 over Oman in Muscat. However, it could not be seen as a convincing play from Germany, who looked weak in defence and vulnerable to errors. But the arrival of Füllkrug in the second half turned the wave and gave a fresh edge to the German attack that had failed earlier to elicit a spark in the first half. Youssoufa Moukoko struck the post on his Germany debut just before the break, which was as close as the team could get in the first half. Moukoko is a 17-year-old player and is Germany's youngest debutant as well.

Later on, Moukoko paved the path at the break for Füllkrug. The 29-year-old forward almost scored as soon as he came but got denied by a great save from the brilliant Ibrahim Al-Mukhaini. However, Kai Havertz set up Füllkrug score in the 80th.
