Nine-man Fiorentina held back by Torino

Andrea Belotti’s late goal seals a 1-1 draw for relegation-threatened Torino against a 9-men Fiorentina in Serie A. Franck Ribery had put Fiorentina ahead by scoring from a tight angle until Belotti scored from the far post with a cross from Simone Verdi in the 88th minute to force a draw. Gaetano Castrovilli was handed a red card due to a last-man foul on Sasa Lukic. Fiorentina was reduced to nine when defender Nikola Milenkovic was dismissed as well in 71st minutes after he headbutted Belotti.

Torino’s Belotti was also handed a yellow card and later went on to score for the struggling Torino putting his side in the clear of the relegation zone by one point while Fiorentina is 12th on the table.
