Official: Didier Deschamps remains in charge of the French national team

The French Football Federation issued a statement on Saturday in which Didier Deschamps will continue at the helm of the French national team.

According to the official statement, the 54-year-old coach will guide the world runners-up until June 2026, the year of the next World Cup. Guy Stéphan, Franck Raviot and Cyril Moine are still on the technical team.

Appointed as France coach on July 9, 2012, Didier Deschamps guided France to win the 2018 World Cup and the 2021 Nations League, in addition to having lost the finals of Euro 2016, against Portugal, and now the 2022 World Cup . In the 139 games that he has been in charge of the French national team since 2012, Deschamps has a record of 89 wins, 28 draws and 22 defeats.

Thus, the possibility of Zinedine Zidane taking over the technical command of Les Bleus falls to the ground.
