The Red Devils were looking to seal their place in the top four of the Premier League this season with a win against Brighton but a few days before the match itself they suffer a huge blow with Anthony Martial sidelined for a minimum of two games after he injured himself on international duty. The player injured himself during the World Cup qualifier with Kazakhstan and left the match in between after his left knee started acting up.
The Frenchman was rested during France’s win against Bosnia and would miss the Brighton clash as well as the Europa League quarter-final, first leg match with Granada next week. Though it has been confirmed that the injury is not major, it still hurts United's plans as Mason Greenwood would also be out of action.
