Paris St-Germain suffered a second successive away defeat in Ligue 1

After excellent work from Adrien Truffert, captain Hamari Traore scored the sole goal midway through the second half with a low finish from inside the box. When Kylian Mbappe entered the game as a substitute and sprinted toward a goal, he should have equalized but shot wildly over the crossbar. The loss keeps PSG three points ahead of Lens in second place, who defeated Auxerre 1-0 on Saturday. Rennes earned their victory because they produced better opportunities and played tough defence against PSG's late equalizer attempts.

The 81st minute saw Steve Mandanda deflect over Juan Bernat's volley for Christophe Galtier's team, who had lost away to second-placed Lens on New Year's Day. Warren Zaire-Emery, a youngster who started for PSG as the league's youngest player at the age of 16 years and 313 days, had a fantastic evening despite the team's loss.
